Find your itemisation on your current telephone bill.
Cost of calls.
Whether it be Local, National or Mobile,
- find the total cost for that type of call.
- Divide this figure by the number of seconds and multiply that by 60.
- This gives you the cost per minute of a call.
Normally Local and National calls are the same price and Mobile are much more expensive.
For example if there are 2 hours 10 minutes and 15 sec of mobile calls on the bill and the charge is £ 8.40
Then 8.40 divided by 4215 seconds = .0019928 X 60 = 11.95 p per minute.
Minimum Call Charge
This is a minimum charge for the call, eventually the cost will pass the minimum
call charge but this will make short calls very expensive.
Setup Charge
This is a set up fee on top of your call charges, this also makes short calls very expensive.
